SMALL BUSINESS ANTI-DISPLACEMENT NETWORK

Overall Project Advisory
National | On-Going

&Access, as a member of the senior leadership team of the National Center for Smart Growth’s Small Business Anti-Displacement Network project, is instrumental in launching a community of practice to shelter those business that are highly vulnerable to displacement and financial stressors that arise when neighborhoods gentrify.  This J.P. Morgan Chase funded project, acknowledges that businesses owned by immigrants and people of color are particularly at risk. COVID-19 and the resulting economic collapse have further exposed and heightened these vulnerabilities. &Access was instrumental in designing the program that includes a national network of leaders works across sectors and metropolitan regions to help small businesses remain resilient in the face of change. Our work ensures that disadvantaged business owners, workers, and residents benefit from new neighborhood investments so they can build greater financial health, wealth, and long-term stability rather than face the historical trend of exclusion from reinvestment in formerly under-resourced geographic regions.
